Sometimes when I’m writing something dirty (like in my semi-frequent forays into erotica), I get embarrassed about it so I type the sentence really fast and look away from the screen immediately, as if that means I won’t get caught.

Ridiculous, I know.

    Makes sense.

    It’s almost a recognition of “The Other.” And when you write something like that, it’s as if you’re watching yourself and you become embarrassed.

    Haha I do the same thing.
    A teacher of mine once talked about this, how sometimes we feel judged by our own diary. I guess it’s this inner lil angel we have to keep batling.Because really she is no fun.

    If you feel that way, maybe you’re not mature enough to be doing them to begin with. You have so much growing up to do, it’s sad you think you have an inkling of understanding about the real world or sex for that matter.

    The truth is you’re nothing more than a little girl lacking self-esteem who seeks affirmation and attention from your blog, and frankly, you’ve become boring and predictable.

    You do have a talent for writing, but you try too hard. I’m sure when you’re out of school and understand what it means to be an adult, and not just pretending like you did in your little foray this summer in New York, you’ll be able to produce something that’s worth reading that more than college kids find inspiring. I read because at this point it’s worse than a train-wreck - I can’t divert my eyes.

    Unrelated to article: Why do you call yourself “Elle” on the website?

    Isn’t that the French generic word for “she”?

    oh yes….i have a hard time writing them b/c they are so vivid in my head…i dunno what i would do if i actually wrote them out :D
